Bowling Green Municipal Court Marriage Records
Individuals residing within the territorial jurisdiction of the Bowling Green Municipal Court obtain marriage licenses from the Probate Division of the Wood County Common Pleas Court (also called the Wood County Probate Court). The associated "marriage records" are managed individually by this court, and public access is provided as follows:
- The Wood County Probate Court offers public access via its online Probate Records Search portal. As some records filed before 1994 may be incomplete or unavailable online, the court directs requesters to contact its records staff at (419) 354-9230.
- Individuals can stop by the Public Records Area on the second floor of the Wood County Courthouse in Bowling Green during standard office hours to view marriage records.
Paper copies can generally be procured on the same day of one's visit, except for some historical files archived off-site at the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center and the Center for Archival Collections at BGSU. Original archived records are only available by request, but microfilm copies can usually be retrieved at the courthouse.
- Written correspondence for marriage records can be mailed to the Wood County Probate Court using the Public Records Request Form (PDF) at
